Trinity's 9th Grade Confirmation Covenant (2005-2006) Worship Is Important! Trinity will provide multiple worship opportunities each week to worship and give glory to God. Each confirmation student is asked to complete 25 Worship Notes during the year. Also, each student is asked to have a leadership role at least five times during the year. This includes reading, serving as an acolyte, ushering, greeting, and so forth. Learning Is Important! That’s why we have confirmation classes! Trinity will hold regularly scheduled meetings with students and mentors. Each student and mentor is asked to attend every session. If a student must miss a meeting, arrangements should be made with Pastor Joel to make up the missed work. If a student misses more than one meeting, special arrangements will be made so that student can satisfactorily complete the year. The students are strongly encouraged to take part in Trinity’s Sunday School program, too. Intentional learning is crucial for parents and guardians to model for their sons and daughters, too. To this end, each student’s parents and/or guardians are asked to participate in at least one adult education opportunity during the year. Serving Others Is Important! To this end, Trinity will provide many service opportunities. Each student is asked to complete at least 20 Service Hours this year. We kindly ask that no “double-dipping” take place. If you’re getting credit for your service for another reason, please do not use that same service for confirmation. There will be many more opportunities to serve! Sharing Our Faith Is Important! Pastor Joel will be available for discussions about our faith in Jesus Christ. Each confirmation student, before affirming his/her baptism, will meet with Pastor Joel and his/her parents/guardians for an opportunity to talk about faith. Prayer Is Important! Every time we meet together, we will pray together. Parents and guardians are asked to keep all the confirmation students in their prayers. Trinity’s leaders will keep the students and their parents/guardians in their prayers, too.
