Getting Involved…

You are a minister! Every baptized Christian has a great responsibility. Our job is to be the Church! We serve God and each other in lives of witness, worship and service. Our congregation has elected and called a pastor. He is our "shepherd." He has the responsibility to guide and inspire us at all times, preaching the word of God. He does not do our ministry for us. The pastor motivates and encourages us to do God's work. Pray for him.

The congregational meeting is the supreme decision-making body of the church. Under God's word, our congregation's constitution and by-laws, we are free to direct the work of the church. All confirmed members are encouraged to attend and participate in congregational meetings.

The Congregational Council is elected by the congregation to supervise the work of the church between the times of the Annual Meeting. They meet once a month and hear reports and made decisions affecting the life and future of the church.

Our congregation operates through a series of committees, which handle the day-to-day work of the parish. These committees include the Companion Congregation, Evangelism, Finance, Forward Planning, Good Samaritan, Investment, Memorial & Bequest, Mutual Ministry, Parish Education, Property & Maintenance, Staff Support, Stewardship, Worship & Music, and Youth.
